Albion (1) and Cambrian (2) are the premier teams of the Maryborough & District Eight-Ball Association after Tuesday night’s grand finals.

In the A grade premiership playoff at the Avoca Hotel, Albion (1) went into the contest a slight favourite after accounting for Park in the second semi final.
Bike Club then ousted Park from the competition in last week’s preliminary final but found Albion (1) a bit hot to handle this week.
In the opening game, Bruce Shaw of Albion defeated Steven Murray, Rod Flett then accounted for Peter Clarke and Rob McClean downed Trevor Postle to put Albion (1) up three games to love.
Gerard Paul was then beaten by David Kolevas and when Tim Hoober lost to Grant Sluce, the scoreline was 3-2 in favour of Albion (1) and it appeared the grand final was in the balance.
However, in the reverse singles, Bruce Shaw, Rod Flett and Rob McClean again won to take Albion (1) to the A grade premiership.
The B grade grand final was played at Carisbrook’s Britannia Hotel between Park and Cambrian (2).
